Biography of Katrina Case's Professional Life

Katrina Case graduated nursing school from Meridian Community College in Meridian, Mississippi, on May 12, 2003. She began her nursing profession at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, working in women's health. After one year, she transferred to a general medical-surgical unit, where she learned about chronic health conditions, health management, and treatment. After two years of working at St. Dominic Hospital, where she gained a large variety of knowledge, she decided to become a travel nurse with her family, which included her two sons. She accepted two travel nurse assignments, which one moved her family across the country. While working on the travel assignments, she learned a vast amount of acute and chronic illnesses, including various surgeries and procedures. After slightly over one year, she decided that it was time to come back home to Mississippi. She accepted a position at Rush Foundation Hospital, where she worked on a general medical and post-surgical unit for close to a year before family circumstances led her to stay at home with her older son to homeschool him until he graduated. She has been a dedicated registered nurse (volunteer) at The Free Clinic of Meridian for over a year where she has learned about community health and clinic nursing. 


Katrina Case is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University where she maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a member of Alpha Chi.


Katrina Case is dedicated, thorough, organized, goal-oriented, and a hard worker.
